This is a shot to show an over the shoulder shot that is used it is really the audiences first look at the Don or the Godfather.
This is a two shot with the profile of the second character to show that the Godfather is the man in charge everyone answers to him.
This is almost an establishing shot of the room but instead of being shown at the beginning of the film it is shown half way through..
